The frame will be supported by the lift arms on the lift.

Also my original spring that's in the car is wrapped in tin, the used replacement spring I'm putting in is supposedly out of a 46 as well but is not wrapped in tin. Is there any ryme or reason to the 2 different styles? Thanks Dennis

Thanks fellas, I appreciate all the quick responses. I have a lift and plan to do this with the car up in the air and screw jacks supporting the axle unless anyone has advice otherwise. Also as mentioned before the whole reason for doing this is because the car sets about 2" lower on the left...

Im getting ready to swap out the front spring on my 46 and Ive heard some buzz about needing a spring spreader...is there any way around this or is it absolutley necessary? If its a must where do I get one or can I make "something" work? What is the best way to tackle this....drop the front...

Hello Fellas, Ive got a 46 Super Deluxe and im ordering all parts needed to do an open drive conversion. My question is do I need a 6 or 10 spline yoke? I realize I could pull the old one off to check but I would rather have all parts gathered before I tear into it. Any help is appreciated...

My 46 is stamped on the frame rail where the steering box mounts. It was completely invisible until I went to town with some gas and scotch bright and still had a heck of a time....
