Re: 1928-29 Model A Frame Front Crossmember Wanted
Thank you for the responses. We have a center crossmember, but still need a good front one. Here's a photo. Note the raised boss on either side and holes in the center.
Thanks,
Chris
Yes, we have students from around the world. In the Restoration program, we currently have two from Canada and one from England.

Thank you all for your support. I thought I'd share a photo of the AR chassis we restored a few years ago. It came in relatively complete with no body. It was a great project to research all of the small 'early A' differences. We restored it and made it as authentic as we could. Sorry for the...
Re: McPherson College Auto Restoration Program needs the old car community’s help
Thank you all for your support.
Here's a photo of the 1923 T we restored a couple years ago. It was a pretty good original car to start with. All of the work was student done, except the nickel-plating. It ran as...
Thank you for all of your help.
I thought I'd share a photo of the 1957 Fairlane we're restoring. It's coming along quite nicely. The body work is finished. It's been painted and most of it has been color sanded and polished. Mechanically we've rebuilt everything and should have it running soon...
Thank you for all of the comments. Most of our projects are well-researched, documented, authentic restorations. In fact, one of the classes I teach is "Research and Documentation". Here is a photo of the 1929 Model A Station Wagon we finished a few years ago. Students assembled the chassis...
Thanks for posting the great video, Steve.
Actually, we did not build the car. It is one of the replicas built by Mercedes-Benz. They also very graciously loaned it to us for several years. We did, however, repair the cracked engine, restore it to running condition (hadn't run in years) and...
Hi all,
Thank you for all of the interest. I will do my best to respond, and feel free to post more questions, comments and/or contact me directly. I am one of the professors in the Auto Restoration Program at McPherson College, and I am also a hobbiest so I appreciate your concerns.
Yes...
I think it also depends on where you live. I have 3:1 gears with a Ruckstell in my 1910 Touring and I love it. I wouldn't have it any other way. We live in Kansas so we tour on flat land more than anything. It's usually my wife and I with our two kids so not as heavy as 4 adults all the time...
We are looking for the front and center cross members from a 1928 or 1929 Model A frame for a car we are restoring at McPherson College. Thanks, Chris Paulsen
