I'm searching for the two chrome strips for the side of the hood for a 48 Mercury, block letters say "MERCURY". They may be specific to a '48, not sure.

At one time, The Imperial Palace Collection in Las Vegas had a similar cut away. The info board for the unit said it was produced by Ford as a training / teaching aid for prospective mechanic's. Can't vouch for that. Believe it was supposed to be a '46. Don't know if it's still there or not.:cool:

How do you tell the difference between 46 / 47 / 48 Mercury's? I know how to ID the same year Fords, but my friend's Merc is titled as a 48. It's exactly the same as a 46 I owned a few years ago. Parking lights are above the grill, any help out there? Thanks in advance.:confused:
