    Fuel Gage - volatge senstive?

I was unaware that the fuel gage and sending unit are bi-metal units. I would appreciate a more complete explanation of how they operate. Does the Drake sending unit use a bi--melal strip also?

    Drake '40 tank

Received the Drake tank for 37 slat back. Installation was straight forward with just enough clearance all around. Almost zero clearance between top of tank and bottom of trunk floor. Just enough to allow tank flange to clear frame rail. Satisfied with the product.

    1937 Fuel Tank Replacement

    Gauge Operation Negative Ground.

There is an excellent post by JSeery dated 4/6/2015 concerning gauge operation. After reading this information it appears to me the the gauge operation is unaffected by a change from positive to negative ground. Is this conclusion correct?

    37 fuel tank

OK, great responses. I will proceed cautiously. While doing some previous tank work on a different car someone suggested putting some dry ice in the tank. The dry ice sublimates and releases CO2 that displaces all gas vapors with a little patience.

    37 fuel tank

The fuel tank outlet tube on my '37 is damaged and needs to be replaced. The retaining nut fitting has been rounded off and will not accept a wrench. Prior to my attempts to loosen the fitting, I am asking for help in understanding the connection. The tube must extend about three inches through...

    Radiator Mount

OK, thanks. I will use front holes with radiator on top of the rubber pad on the frame mount secured by the springs and bolt.

    Radiator Mount

Is this the correct mounting assembly? The picture shown is how I found it. The radiator tab is on top of the rubber pad. The bolt is through the rear hole on one side and the front hole on the other. The car is a '37. I am in the process of installing an 8BA and the radiator position is...

    Radiator support rods question

What is the correct length for a '37 radiator? I am not sure the ones I have give the correct tilt.
