No they are not the housing is the same but ford changed the out let holes and the b shaft is reduced in diameter for more flow.

Today I worked on the pump for my b engine opened up the inlet vertically not the with and increased the feed hole to 3/8 with an end mill and brazed the slots up and fitted it to the block. Next I will do the oil hole in the side of the block and the body of pump. Now the question will the pump...

It is a 30 amp gauge and I have bought a lot of parts from the guy he is 50 miles from my house and generally when I give him a call he has what I'm looking for in stock. Bill is as I see it a stand up guy and he just wanted me to be satisfied with my purchase.

I read some were you can use Pontiac rods in a B engine. How do you do that aren't the big end larger than the ford rods?

Don't forget the B oil pump shaft is cut down to I think .410 diameter for more flow.

I just bought a 30 amp voltage gauge and the dealer tried to talk me out of buying the thing he said if I buy that gauge I'll never come back to him for parts. All I can say is it works for now.

It has a counter weighted crank

I read that there is a different oil pump for the b engine. How can I tell the difference? I was given a pump along with the b block and the guy that gave me the block got them in a yard cleanup.
