I took the fan belt off, same knocking. Next step maybe drop the oil pan? Is this going to be fixable without removing the engine ya think?

These look really hard/expensive to repair, they are soldered together around the whole core. My dad is thinking about building his own core for it with copper brake line coiled back and forth. Good idea?

Hey guys, The Hot Water Heater that came in my 39 leaks water out of the core, I bought another one on ebay and that also leaks water out of the core. Is this very common with these having cracked cores? Would I expect a third one to also be cracked if I buy another one? thanks

ahh ok thanks, ya the horn rod did get tweaked a bit when I first tried to take it out the wrong way. So maybe it's either that or something with that switch. If my horn works do you think there would be anything wrong with the rod that would effect the lights/switch?

Hey guys, I have a 39 Ford Deluxe Fordor. I installed the headlights/tail lights today and the parking light is stuck on, and the headlights don't work. Silly question, but where is the parking light switch located? Appreciate any tips to figure this out, thanks guys.

thanks for the kind words, you nailed it spot on. We rebuilt and replaced the original fuel pump (non sediment bowl type). The car idled! But ran poorly and the fuel pump was leaking around the diaphragm. The glass type one has bad cross threaded threads. And this one I think has been sanded...

It's a Holly 94 Carb, original jets I think. I've gone from 1.5 turns to higher/lower on both with the same idle stall out issue. The air cleaner is clean and has a new filter. It was roughly the same idle stall out with or without the air cleaner on.

thanks, I'm going to rebuild the pump and if it doesn't solve it I'll buy a gauge to check the pressure. what did you do to check that? Spray some soapy water around the base of carb/top of manifold to check for bubbles?
