Apparently I have posted 9 reply and need to reply 1 or 2 more before I can send a private message response to an ad for 1940 Ford parts.

I am experiencing the same restriction and hate to post senselessly. However, to follow the rules, here goes.

I hope to return from Carlisle and Hershey this year with some good cylinders and enough other 1940 Ford convertible parts to complete the restoration of my car.

Re: Cars Stolen…be on the lookout. With no update since May of 2022 indicating otherwise, I assume that 3 of the cars were not found. I adopted the AirTag suggestion for my car as a low-cost alternative to LoJack, but have to remember to replace it before the battery is exhausted.

My dad’s 1940 convertible had a mirror clipped to the vent window edge. The car did not have a mirror on the hinge or cowl. Are such mirrors still available?

I am looking for cylinders to replace the ones on my parent’s 1940 Ford. I am a new member and have to make 5 more post (for a total of 9) before being allowed to respond sellers with a private message.

I am restoring the 1940 Ford convertible that my parents bought before getting married more than 70 years ago. Access to this service bulletin and diagrams are immensely helpful.

Will this reply count as a post if I subsequently delete it? Deleting it will allow me to test 2 tasks; 1st, if "quick reply" post can be deleted; 2nd, if deleted posts count toward initial 10 posts. REVISION: Google search suggests that "delete" may or may not be an option for "quick reply"...

I have the same problem and hope this reply will serve as the 1st of my 10 posts.
