Baba,
Good luck with getting your wedge out. I was in the same situation as you with the new pills not seating fully. Didn’t figure it out until it was wedged in there and had to do more work get to it again just as you.
Ended up having to take a small drill bit and drill a hole in the pill...
My A also has an Autozone battery. Bought it about 2 years ago for about $80/90. I cant go anywhere without passing an auto zone here it seems like. I figured if ever I needed to warranty the battery it should be fairly easy to do with auto zone.
Wow, I didnt realize they were period add ons. Pretty stylish at that!
I happy with every thing about my car. The more I learn the more lucky I feel to have found it!
So the cowl lights were options then. Did all A's have the 3 position light switch? Mine operates the tail lights and cowl...
Oh ok thats a good bit of force. Just to be sure, it spins freely with the brake shoes backed off?
I Just redid my brakes and had some issues, I found a piece of leaf or something got in one bearing I didnt notice on assembly!
Have you tried working the brake by hand and seeing if anything...
I think any oil today would be better than what the engine had new. Rotella has more vitamins and minerals in it I use it in some older engines because of that. Cheaper the VR1 oil too.
Ive heard to steer clear of detergent oils in old used engines because of the risk of knocking some nasty...

jb-ob that was my exact thought when asking the question. The internet is great as long as sources are good. And me being new to model a's I know that I know just enough to know I don't know enough! Haha
Keith I hope I don't have to mess with...
I agree with Big Hammer your radiator isn't efficient enough, Its blocked somehow.
I had a very similar thing as you with my 28. Could idle it all day with no issues temp was on the money. After about a mile of running it would want to get hot. My water pump began seeping too (unrelated to the...
