You should have a rubber washer between the arm and large knurled nut this rubber washer is inclosed in metal,, except for the rubber side that rest against the swing arm i know,,, clear as mud eh

I think you are right Ron when i restored my Sport Coupe i used repops because i dint have these restored yet memory is good after a few reminders

That might be possible.. now that i think of it it could be a part that attaches to one of the bows to add strength the parts are right and left
