    Info on sound deadening.

I've had good luck using Armaflex insulation - available in 3' x 4' sheets from any HVAC supply house. Easy to cut and the 3/4" thick type does a good job of deadening sound - used it above headliner, under floor mats and behind kickpanels and door panels on my 1952 F1.

    Priming a 1952 F1?

Short of adding an electric fuel pump for start-up purposes, do any of you Barners prime your flatheads for that initial start after vehicle sits a day or two? How much gas do you use, etc.????

"Click" & "Clack", The Tappet Brothers

They were GREAT on NPR radio and always fun to listen to - and we've had their newspaper column in our Saturday paper for a long time!! They answer two questions per week and give good advice. Wonder if that will continue as it had to be just Ray writing both parts for the past year or two -...

    Petronics Electronic ignition on a 52 v8

Have a 6 volt positive grd. Pertronix set-up in my 1952 F1 - with a Flamethrower coil - works GREAT and has for about 3 or 4 years now. No way would I go back to points and condenser, etc.

6 volt or 12 volt conversion

Good connections, heavy cabling, a 1 wire alternator and a Brakelighter stop light in rear window make my 6 volt system function just fine for me!!!! Have a 12 volt neg. grd. radio mounted in glove box but it is wired thru an inverter - works fine.

    Battery drain??

Is there an easy or simple way to check to see if there is a slight electrical drain on battery? If everything is turned off, is there a way to check for a "short"?

    6 volt LED tail lights

Good option is to install a "Brakelighter" - strip of LED lights you mount in rear window - at a good height for easy visibility - come in 6 volt.

    Third Brake light

Brakelighter has a strip of LED lights - it fits in bottom of rear window on F1 and is almost unnoticeable until you apply brakes. It is at a good height and really helps drivers behind you know you are slowing/stopping.

    F1 rear licence plates

I think the Brakelighter strip of LED lights that go in bottom of rear window on F1 is a really good thing to install. It is at a height close to where most drivers are looking now - plus it is almost not noticeable until you apply the brakes. My '52 F1 has the best in tail light bulbs, etc...

Points VS electronic > GAS MILEAGE

I have a Pertronix Igniter distributor and their Flamethrower coil in my '52 F1 - been installed for over 2 years now - no problems whatsoever and I really think it was a great upgrade.
