    1936 Ford Pickup

Thanks for the reply, the magnet on the outside is good idea. I have been lucky and found it in the pump stand. I will now only use a rebuilt pump and not aftermarket rubbish. The first pump was a Bob Drake but leaked around the screws at the top the 2nd was a Carter and was just cheap rubbish...

    1936 Ford Pickup

Hi everyone and Happy Christmas and New Year. Over the break I replaced my fuel pump which was leaking with a carter fuel pump. While the engine was running and I was checking for leaks it stopped pumping. Anyways turns out the pump arm had broken but a tiny piece was missing. I took off the oil...

    1936 Ford pickup Drag Link

I don't think it has been greased for may years and doesn't have any resistance like a tie rod end, I don't like to replace original for repro if I can help it. I may take it to the machine shop and see if they can sleeve it and weld it up with a new end, it will outlast me.

    1936 Ford pickup Drag Link

Hi everyone and thanks for your help in the past, I removed my drag link today but the end that connects to the steering box arm is cast and can’t be replaced like the other end. Does this mean I have to get a modern repro and are they any good ? Thank you.
