    Down Draft Intake

Been using the Scalded Dog for a few years now with a Stromberg 81. Basically very streetable performance with no issues. We also have another car with the Ansen intake as well. That's on a mildly modified B engine also with an 91 carb. As far as jets we went with adjustable jets and once they...

Why Did Henry Change Wheel Sizes?

The interesting thing though is the 19" and 21" tires are almost actually the same diameter. The big difference is in sidewall height. It's a good question though.

thinking of adding downdraft carb intake

Ansen is a nice intake. We're currently running one with a Stromberg 81 carb. Takes s bit longer to warm up bu otherwise No issues.

    smokey exhaust

At idle if it's more bluish in color and doesn't dissipate all that quickly then it's usually the valve guides and burning oil.. If it's light white and it dissipates somewhat quickly then it's most likely water getting into the combustion chamber. Could be anything from a head gasket to a...

    Speedster Kit

Brent - I completely agree with you that if we WERE racing these a roll bar would definitely be installed along with a 5 point harness. The pictures make it look MUCH faster than the actual speeds. The cars were traveling at about 40 mph and were on the track alone. This event provides track...

    Speedster Kit

We (BangerMatt and I) used 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1/4" steel angle bolted with 2 bolts per bracket through the floor of the speedster using VERY large fender washers on the bottom of the wood floow to spread the stress out over a larger area. This then gives a vertical plane to which you can bolt the...

    shock questions

So I'll go out on a limb here and I figure that the CW meant that the spring was to be in a Clock Wise positiona when installed. For the AC it was to be installed in an Anti Clockwise position. BTW Pluck Thanks for all the info you provide. You provide a huge resource to many folks here and...

    Speed....

Do you mean something like this........ Kowalski Customs out of Reading PA. Bonneville last August they set a class record at 138.9 mph. The body is a belly tank from a 1949 F-86 Sabre jet. I saw the car in person at the Jalopy Showdown in Latimore PA and I can honestly say the workmanship...
