Go with a 59a I had a 21 stud in my 36 many years ago expensive to rebuild the 59 is a drop in and can be found at a reasonable price

Try the lower hoses from a 49-51 they have a slight curve to them

can I replace a 7/16 stud with a 12mm I have a stripped thread in the block what's the best way to do a fix without removing the head can I drill out the 7/16 threaded hole to the next larger size.

I think to stiffen the floor I replaced mine about 15years ago I made them with a pieces of treated lumber an T nuts.

My cars has them on for the last 15 years I never gave them a second through I sort of like them on my 36
