There was a fellow, Walt, up in Portland Oregon who had a business selling new and used stove part for very old wood stoves. Many times I called him from Calif. for part for our 100 year old stove we use daily. He would mail the parts to you and you were instructed to install them first to make...
We are going to remove my model A engine in a 29 coupe and replace it with a model B engine with head and pan on. Is there anything we need to know in doing this exchange of engines? Will the B engine bolt right up?
Thanks for your help, Bill
The engine is my 29 couple is on it's last legs and I'am not far behind it. I put the rebuilt in in 1970 and it's been a dandy engine, but it's about ready to give out. Cracked main bearings are just the beginning. I still drive it almost daily to the post office and store but would like to find...
When removing a shim from between the block and rear crank cap a part of the babit fell out of the cap. How do we repair this? Sure appreciate your help.

proper torque for mains is 50 and rods is 35
I've been told
mains should be 80 and rods 50
What is the correct torque? We are just removing some shims.
Thanks
