WE Replaced the horn rod on my Dad A The horn blows all the time . with the battery turned on A The brass collar and washer are on the top of the steering Column After forgetting them on first assembly. It grounding out but how to find it or something missing

We took it back to the shop that put the brushes in They say one of the brushes should be insulated and are correcting that. Does tat sound correct .

to stop it from spinning you have to shut the battery off

I was able to work on the dash light today .I found no power to ammeter. We checked wires at terminals on fire wall and that was wired wrong fix that and now light and ammeter work . thanks for the help and replies

the bulb is good and twist and turn work perfect thanks for replies I am going to check ground

My dad has a 1929 A I am trying to get the Dash light to work.It is new is wired according toe the wiring diagram and doesn't light Does the dash bezel need a good ground for the light to work. Repop ammeter doesn't seem to work is the a way to test that with a multi meter to see ammeter is good...

Does the headlight bar match the color of the fenders or body color of the car. the car is 1929 A

Thanks for the replies. The posts on the ammeter are tight it still gets hot . Should the meter go to discharge as soon as you turn on the key The cut off switch has been replaced aslo no change.
