The distributor is the 1942 style. Get parts for that year. They are the easiest of them all to work on.

Post a good close pic and we can tell you what you have. Not all the 59A parts interchange.

Engine number 18-1 is at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Not in a car. Doesn’t look like it ever was in a car, but I can’t confirm that. Has a tag bolted to it that says Save for Mr. Ford.

Does it have the 36 distributor or the 59A distributor?

It’s a 32 or a 33-34. IIRC, a 32 is 47” and a 33-34 is 45”. Maybe someone else can confirm.

If they are 12”, the flat-ish ones are F-2, I think around ‘53?

Basically changing Fordbarn to 12 volt, and replacing the mechanical brakes with hydraulics. Just don’t suggest any T-5’s.
