Taped?...what kind of tape? so you folded the bedding around the bottom of the glass taped it to the glass then pushed it into the metal channel? ... ok now the windshield glass..is that bedding also? or can that be glued in without worry of any cushion around its edges..:confused:

wow you guys are lucky...all I found in my ol car was a hole...just a big black bottomless hole with a little sign and an arrow pointing to the abyss that said..to rebuild throw money here...;)

I have new bottom door glass channels but no glass yet. My question is, what holds the new glass in the lower channel so when I crank the window down the glass is guaranteed to come down with it?..are they glued in or is there something else I need?:confused:

thanks for the quick reply...but just now i ground off the rivets pulled the cover. took out the gear, driveing pin/dog, spring etc. I didnt see anything wrong but after a while i reverse engineered it and saw how it works. What I think happened is one end of the internal spring came around the...

i dont think the anti spatter spray stops the spatter..it just wont allow it to stick to the surrounding metal..

I was thinking of unwinding the large flat spring one turn and re-attaching it. but you say where the small gear is and crank handle goes in, there is a cover and under that, there is another spring?...that cvr is rivetted on ,i could undo it and look inside...who sells the individual...

What is wrong with my window crank,it wont stay down? the spring runs the window back up if i let go of the window crank. there is a lot of grease and oil under the small gear cover and on the big gear...too much and causing not enough hold back?:confused:
