yes found axle . I have a motors manual. doesn't tell me axle removal . ok ill remember not to post car questions on this part.

anyone know how to get a 1948 buick left side axle to come apart . right side is ok. left snapped. i have a replacement part.:(

I never knew trying to find my part would be so hard . can't locate one . was a very nice running and driving car . if I don't locate one don't know what ill do.

a short time ago I posted about my 48 buick made a loud bang after trying to start off up hill . finally got a chance to check rear. all gears look like new . no metal pieces in oil. answer was the driver side (left) axle snapped. guess that would be why it wont move. thanks for the help.:D

hopefully its only a bearing or some type of pin . will post when I find issue

I have a 1948 buick super . it seems something let go in the rear the left tire has play any ideas? car will not move but speedo moves when gas is pressed. had loud bang when this happened . also left tire sticks out a little more then normal.

im in central nj.

hi fellas...i was at a local car show yesterday . i was only like 30 deg . so i only stayed for and hour . on the way home i was doing around 40 out of nowhere i got a big thumping noise from one of my front tires. pulled over found nothing . my tire are kinda old but still have life left ...

i cant remember what a 6 volt battery full charge should read on a meter. mine read 6.3 volts. thinking maybe little low. any help would be great. thank you in advance:o

it was low before. added water after charge. so i assume i should recharge battery?

finished charging my battery . checked my cells all were low . add dis stilled water is that ok?
