Single unrestored 1951 Texas license plate in very good condition, black on gold, maybe for a commercial vehicle, C over H on left side with 4 numbers.

There's a nut on the top of the steering box in my 38 held to the box with a star washer. However, the center post through the nut is not grooved. I thought you loosen the nut, screw in the slotted post a little to tighten the sector. If I loosen the nut what do I do next since it's not slotted?

Maybe not a 38 Deluxe unless that right rear fender is a replacement. Deluxe had twin tail lights, rear bumper guards, also a horizontal trunk handle on that base. Sure looks more like it's 39 standard. Might be a costly resto if rusted through the floors and frame, but that price isn't bad at...

What was the factory color for the V8 intake manifold in '51, and the color for the air cleaner? I've seen some black, some silver/aluminum intakes, along with a light blue metallic color for the air cleaner, and some of those even black. Not sure which is the correct factory stock color...

If I press on the high beam floor switch in my 51 one headlight beam goes to high, the other side goes to low. Do I just reverse wires on one light or is it more complicated? Thanks!
