Yes, the 35 bracket has only one hole, but, the replacement brackets have holes for both 35 and 36. In that case, the rear hole is for the 35 and the forward hole is for 36.

Thanks for the replies. The top tank on my radiator looks slightly different from the back than is shown in your picture. The fan clearance arc looks like it was stamped with a filleted radius rather than what appears to be more of a squared off corner. The only marks I can find on the...
I'm still working on my 35 pickup and ran across a thread from June 2020 regarding the radiator on 35 cars. How much of the information in that post is applicable to pickups? My radiator appears to be the new 48-8005-B style but the brackets for the support rods on the cab are the old style...
Thanks for the replies. Mercman's picture (and others I have seen online) appear to show that the grill should be straight along that edge. There is a slight bulge on the outside of that area which seems to indicate that the "kink" needs to be stretched to remedy the bulge as well. Now to...
I am working on the grill for my 35 pickup that appears to have been used to bulldoze a fence at the lower crossbar. Can anyone tell me if it should be straight along the front edge?
John
Yes, a die grinder made quick work of opening the hole to fit along with a couple of new holes drilled. The brake pedal lines up nicely with the slot for it in the toe board as well.

Thanks for the replies. Although I don't like the idea of putting a washer between the bracket and the frame to fill the space that is what I am probably going to do. I am installing an automatic so don't need the clutch pedal, which makes the 41 more attractive because the cross-shaft is...
I am converting a 1935 pickup to hydraulic brakes and have acquired the brake pedal and bracket from a 1941 model. While my X-member is flat in the mounting area the bracket only makes contact on three of the mounting points, so I am assuming that the bracket is bent. I know that cast iron...
Thanks Don. I read somewhere that the rod diameter is 5/16". Does that mean that the threads at the "nut" end is 5/16 and the threads at the "carriage bolt head" end is 3/8?
I have two questions related to the radiator for a 35 Ford pickup. 1) What is the correct length of the support rods that run from the radiator to the cab? 2) Walker lists a rad for the 35, is the radiator for the pickup the same as for a car?
Thanks
That's what I suspected, I will try to remove those rods and hammer up some replacement inserts. What is the size of the hole for the crankshaft, how wide the sides and how high from the bottom of the grill opening is it?
I am in the process of repairing the grill for a 35 pickup, several of the vertical bars need to be replaced along with the hole for the crank. My question is, should the horizontal bars have a 1/4 inch rod welded to them or is this a non-factory reinforcement?
Browsing through old threads I suspect I may have found the answer to my question. The older thread refers to 1937 vehicles however I wonder whether it would apply to 1935 as well? https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157537 If this is correct who would have built the cabs for...
Happy new year. I purchased a trailer load of parts about 30 years ago and was told the vehicle was a 34 Ford pickup that had been almost totally dismantled about 19 years before that after driving it home. After checking with the Ford museum it turned out to be a 1935 pickup. I am working on...
