    water in exhust

Is it condensation ? or coolant ? You will be able to smell a difference. If you suspect a head gasket (or worse) look for bubbles in the radiator. Is it hard to start ? If coolant was getting in the cylinders, the engine would be very hard to turn over (filling with coolant) and you would...

New model "A" owner needs some help!

Nice car ! Welcome to the hobby ! I would try washing out the clutch with brakeclean, I just watch out that you don't "flush out" your throw out bearing in the process. The rust doesn't look too bad, going by the photos - probably wouldn't take too much to fix if you get it before it spreads.

    Tail light question

You have 2 bulbs in that light, one for tail (red) one for stop (amber) Sounds like the deflector that separates the two bulbs may be broken or missing. If the light looks 'dimmer' than the other side, it may be a ground problem with the light - and 'backfeeding' through the brakelight bulb...

    Hub Bolts

Not a good idea to weld them, for 2 reasons... First - the wheel bolts have a shoulder (that you'll swedge against) that could interfere with the wheel seating properly Second - Welding the bolt could make it brittle, allowing the wheel to escape  from the vehicle without notice I was...

    speedometer niose

Mine started squealing and 'thumping' just before it twisted off my brand new cable The head was dry and very hard to run on a drill, I tried penetrant and lube - had to do a complete tear down and clean up and fresh lube, now it's just like new Wasn't a bad job, just take your time and lay...

    Temp gauges for the A

I'm putting gauges in mine, just because I want to have some idea of what's going on I've got too much blood, sweat, and skin cells (and money) invested

    Sandblasting the engine?

Playing the "wise guy" here - all those coats of paint could be 'sealing up' a lot of leaks Be careful of the stripper around the gaskets and seals, unless you are planning to regasket anyway

    coupe rubber window moulding

That's how I did mine - I just made sure it was room temp, some good heavy duty duct tape, stretch the rubber tight enough to flatten out the wrinkles on the corners tape on all 4 sides as you work the rubber around the glass then super glue the ends

1931 Pick up truck production numbers

I was bringing my truck home today from the body shop, when a guy stopped me at an intersection, asking all about my truck, he asked something no one ever asked me about it - "How many of these did they make in 1931?" - and I didn't have an answer - Anybody got...
