I just went thru this with mine.First i tried the smaller set then the bigger set.I cut them down and still no good.At some time during my trucks life the doors were worn pretty heavy and repaired.After removing the repair I found the problem.Some of the old rubber was still there and as hard as...

I just replaced this wire yesterday.The insulation was in sad shape. On a side note I also had a problem with the main jet from the carb rebuild kit being 3 size's smaller than the original. That lead me in a big circle that started with the carb and ended with the carb.

Mike That sounds right.After I straighten out the brakes I will take her out and play around abit and see if I can figure it out.I do know the lever on the trans has a interlock so it can only be shifted when the trans is in 2nd or 3rd.

Foxfire that looks like it from what i can see.Why the cable and the lever?How do i shift it? I may be doing it wrong.(don,t tell my wife) Right now I shift to third pull the cable then the lever.
