    Model A SHAKES

After checking to see if anything is loose as Dave suggested, I adjusted the Toe In and that solved my death wobble.

    Simple Fix?

Sorry about pictures. Try these. It is a 4 spd transmission. The leaks are not terrible but I thought I should tryand fix them.

    Simple Fix?

Trying to get a handle on some leaks. Looks like a freeze plug for one. Other options?

    Front End Problem?

    Front End Problem?

Bob; I believe you are correct regarding the drive axle. Still just a rookie here so pardon my ignorance. Here are a bunch o pictures of the truck. Don't believe it was ever restored. Just lots of bandaids and probably a mix of parts over the years.

    Front End Problem?

Bob; I am no expert but I am fairly certain I have a worm drive axle. I do not have pictures at work with me, however, I will post one late tonight or tomorrow. Best way to describe is the drive axle is round on one side and flat on the other. Thought they were identical on both sides without...

    Front End Problem?

I have had my 1930AA DUMP now for a relatively short time. The engine has been rebuilt and it runs great. Have not gone much beyond the neighborhood roads with the kids. On smooth roads, it rides just fine, however, if I hit a bump just right, the truck shakes like hell. At this point, I need to...

    Winter Driving-Heat & Storage

Tom, I wish I had storage space as opposed to leaving it outside. The other option would be to just cover and shut it down. What is the recommended procedure for "shutting down" for 5 months? The cab will be covered but the rest will remain exposed. It will, however, sit on a paved drive. I...

    Winter Driving-Heat & Storage

Thank you. That is the kind of information I was looking for. I will purchase a decent cab cover and take it out selectively over the winter months.

    Winter Driving-Heat & Storage

I have a small garage, four children with "stuff" and just enough space for my wife's car. Even if I could get the truck in the garage, an 80 year old truck with leaks, gas smells and so forth would not pass my wife's inspection. In fairness, it is an attached garage. So the truck will sit out...

    Winter Driving-Heat & Storage

I may be getting a bit ahead of myself here since I have yet to bring the '30 AA home. However, looking forward, I have no place to garage the truck. It will have to sit outside. Still plan to make weekly trips to the transfer station and perhaps some other short trips. All this weather...

Model AA Dump or '46 One Ton Dump

I have no plans to tear anything apart any time soon. When I get the truck home, the first thing I need to address is the carburetor. It was spitting out a fair amount of gas from the intake. I think a rebuild is in order. Otherwise it runs, drives, lights work and horn works (albeit wrong and...

Is there a part number for that plate? I have a notebook at the ready for any part numbers I acquire.

Model AA Dump or '46 One Ton Dump

Pat, Thanks for all the information. I know absolutely nothing about these trucks less what I have read to date. I have purchased the truck but it will be a couple of weeks before I get her home. I have a few more pictures. Yes, this will be a family project over the course of many years to get...
