    Steering wheel

Here is one I turned from a piece of Honduran Mahogany for my "T". Just takes a big lathe and patience. Finding a piece of wood that big is the hard part.

    On the road again

The 29 Leatherback (60B) that I brought home on 5-04-13 is back on the road. The discovery of a cracked block and head plus a very bad attempt to repair a stripped out stud left the A still. Then several surgery's added to the delay. At the National in Lexington (my home) I purchased an AER...

    Lexington, KY, MARC MEET, GREAT!!

Me too. Live here and member of host club though did not participate much with recovery from surgery. Found out that the world is very small. Several members brought a member of the entertainment to see me and learned that he was a neighbor from back in the early 60's. He saw our name in the...

    Stripped stud in block

I have found that the middle head stud (#8 on some torque layouts) directly behind the water outlet was badly stripped after the previous owner attempted a repair with an over size stud. It would not torque. My question, would it be worthwhile to attempt to tap the stripped hole for a larger...

Win a freshly rebuilt Model A engine with insert bearings

Got my five chances several weeks ago. Need some luck as the Leatherback I just bought needs an engine. Badly repaired stud with crack into water passage. Had lots of water in pan at one time. It ran pretty good but I do not see how. Not much luck so far with the first A.

    Memorial Day 2013

Many years ago I became associated with the national PT Boat organization. I was Army long after their service. Listening to their story's gave me a new prospective on FREEDOM. So many that I got to know are now gone. I was just a small lad during that war and do not remember much of that time...

Great viewing, especially for this weekend and everyday in America.

Does anyone have any photo's from when they reset their ODO reading?

Took mine apart yesterday because the odometer read 8209, same reading that is on 1989 Mo. title for the 29. Found both worm gear bearings stuck to magnet. Speedometer works but still trying to get odo to turn. I can turn it by hand. Did notice that worm shaft wants to back out so will glue in...

It is finally mine and home

Casey has been with us since 97 and graduates with a Masters Degree on Saturday the 11th. Loves both of our old Fords, loves Ford Trucks and would drive nothing but a Ford. Has a 2012 Focus she bought on her own. A super kid (even though she is no longer a kid). Someday the Fordor may be...

It is finally mine and home

Here are pic's of "T" & "A", that the boss lets me play with any time I want. Have son in Knoxville (Farragut). Just mailed my registration for National. Just about a couple of miles away. Granddaughter did not want to get from behind the wheel. Waiting to learn to drive the...

It is finally mine and home

One thing is certain. The young person in my Avatar did not age as well as the A. That's why the good looking boy pic and not the current one. Thanks all for comments. Makes my smile larger.

It is finally mine and home

Another A club member here in Lexington, KY. Fortunately we only had 70 miles one-way to get it. Thought the T&A sounded pretty good even at my age. Also helps when you own a Model T and A Model A. Looking for or maybe will have to make a "FORD ALLEY" sign for the corner of our drive and a t&A...

It is finally mine and home

Thanks to the help of a Model A owner with a big white box, our first A is sitting on FORD ALLEY (aka-our driveway) outside the E & S garage where there is going to be a lot of T & A service going on. Here he is resting at his new home:):):)

    Coming soon our first A..

Just an update, a fellow club member and new friend has volunteered his enclosed trailer to transport our first "A" to its new home, the E & S garage, tomorrow morning. E & S is for Eleanor and Sam, (that's us). Then the process of a full maintenance check, lube and inspection. Hopefully the...

    time for another whitewall rant......

And to think that all of this started again because as a new comer to owning a Model A I posted a picture of the 29 Leatherback I had just bought. Still excited about getting the A on the driveway on Saturday and will let it end there.
