Fred ,
I've got a question for you .
Does your huckster have a frame extension off the back ?
It's the channel that the fender is attach to at the base .
Now looking at your fender I wouldn't assume it was anything like what i've got .
How does it cantilever .
I've got a four foot "z" channel and I'm trying to figure out if the wood in between the fenders is tapered or parallel . yours may very well be different .
Hello,
No there is not frame extension. But the body does extend beyond the back frame cross member. The body has 2x10's that run under it from the cowl to the end of the body. No channel under the body.
The fenders are bolted to the wood body and the body is straight up and down. The fenders are cut down in width so that they could be bolted to the running boards.
Since this picture, I have installed a back bumper. It is a standard 29 bumper that I think came off a 29 coupe. I just bolted it to the 2 x 10's under the body with some solid oak blocks to make it fit right.
