I don't believe so. It was purchased from two gentleman in the Boston area and when the Florida Sheriff's dept ran the title (they do that on all out of state title transfers to make sure the vehicle isn't stolen) they told me it had been titled in Connecticut prior to the title in Mass.
So I wouldn't think it was owned by a retired Detroit Police Officer unless he moved to CT.
