Model A Heated Garage Question

My shop/garage is under my house.... takes very little heat to keep at 65 degrees.
No heat on it seldom drops below 55. I keep some heat on to reduce the humidity that builds up if all the heat is off.

Radiant floor heat would be outstanding ! Wish I had it.

My neighbor has the same thing and is restoring a 1956 T Bird in it right now. Sure wish my garage was like that.

I keep my garage at 70. I discovered years ago that the air In my garage striated - warm at the ceiling, cold at the floor. I solved that by putting in a ceiling fan that ran quite slowly. It made it quite comfortable to work under the car now as it brought the floor temp up to the air temp. The fan runs so slowly that it isn't noticeable.

I agree, my garage thermostat is kept at 13-15C (About 60F) and by placing a thermometer at various locations around the place, I can get up to a 5C difference. A ceiling fan is on my to do list.

By the way, I work in coveralls and would find 70F far too warm for comfort in a closed garage.
