Hi guys,
I know, this might violate terms of this forum, but I have a serious problem, I wasted valuable time with a car transport company, which blew off the job in the last moment.

I bought a 1929 Phaeton, currently located in Casselberry, FL, needs to be picked up on January 8th late afternoon and transported to a forwarder in the area of Miami sea port to be off loaded same evening or next day morning. I am going to ship this beauty to Europe and will be physically present during the entire operation.

I am looking for a company which does single car transports and is not a budget back yard business.

Does anyone know such a reliable company? Your assistance is highly appreciated.

I would think you could find a regular towing flatbed service to deliver it to the seaport.
Unless you want enclosed transport

If you are familiar with the Hamb site, there are 4 Quality transporters in the Hamb O Dex section where you can see references/feedback from hundreds of customers that have used our services: BenD, Racinman, Big block_Doc & myself. I cannot help with this one as I am already scheduled for that week, but try the other guys, they may be in the area that week. Because of the relatively short distance of this transport, whoever does it will have to already be close. Also, whomever you choose, make sure you do a google seach of them as there are a lot of Hacks out there.

Why not look up AAA authorized towing companies. They are usually more dependable than the fly by night garage wrecker services. AAA requires them to meet established standards. If you have a complaint you have a company to appeal to. Wayne

This is certainly no violation on the terms of this forum.

The owner has said many times, any talk about original model A/s with a few sidebars such as bangers is acceptable.

The transporting of a model A is talking about model A/s.
 
thank you guys, will search as recommended. AAA would be nice, but I am not member since I live in Austria, don't know this is needed.

Plan B is: since my daughter will stay in Florida for studies beginning same day, I need to buy her a car. As a non US-citizen it might take a few days to get the insurance made. But the car (SUV) could be fitted with a trailer equipment and Uhaul rents car trailers for about 100,-/day. towing trailers is my almost daily job on Austria, big ones... :-) But this plan is short on time, 48h from arrival to buying a car, getting trailer hook fitted, trailer rented.... bit a race...

thanks guy, I very much appreciate your help. Proud to have now a Phaeton next to my Roadster Pickup, bot same age, makes it simpler with spare parts, two engines in reserve on stock...

I wish you all the best with your shipping, but beware, some of the Uship folks we've seen on TV appear to be very-much "a budget back yard business", and NOT necessarily on time, while some appeared to do OK. DD
