I live in Ca., paint seems hard to come by(except water base) in this state.
What are the pros & cons to the 3 types of paints? I can shoot lacquer with no problem, any thoughts?

Dudley, in safe California

 If you need to have it mailed in from another state go with DuPont/PPG. 9300 concept for your frame and parts and for the body i used Glasurit 55 polyester Basecoat .Might be more money but it will hold up for years to come and the finish will be OVER RESTORED... L.O.L. and yes its worth it.:D:p:)

I have a car that was painted about 10 years ago with Glasurit single stage Urethane and I still get comments about how good it looks, well worth the money.

Ironically, I have bought a lot of PPG paint mail-order from a well-known distributor in California...

...Peter did Dupont merge with PPG?

Doug,

Who was the supplier in California?

Pete,

I was thinking of lacquer just for the body, for the right LOOK.....NO BLACK!

Thanks, Dudley

Craig,
I am pretty sure PPG and DuPont are still separate companies. I could be wrong - it wouldn't be the first time.
