Lever Shocks

It looks like in the diagrams I have seen that lever arm shocks are the same from '28-'32. If this is the case, why is it that the reproduction shocks listed on Mac's website are more for the '32's than the ones listed for '28-'31?
Can anyone shed some light on the subject? It looks like the arms are the same, also?

All 32 parts have a "preimum" charge. Actually the A shocks will fit but there is a slight difference in looks, also the adjuster is different.

I don't think there is a difference functionally.

Visually the differences are where the split line is for the top and bottom, the location of the bolt tabs or ears (ears are offset on a 32, unlike A shocks which are centered), there is a clover-like pattern on the back of the 32 shock, and the adjustment piece is a circle with two flat sides on the 32
shock.

The arms for the 32 and the A are the same length, but again it's in the details. The model A arms have a flange just below the pivot ball, the 32 arms do not.

Hope this helps.

Keep V-8ing and 4-banging!
