I've seen them but I think carrying 2 tires on the bracket could be tough on the bracket and mounting bolt area. I'll stick to a single, and if I feel the need for another spare, I'll put it in the rear seat area. I used 3 bungee cords to carry two spares on a 600 mile trip 5 years ago, but decided not to do it again.

There was a fellow who carried two spares like that on our Summer Tour to Michigan a couple of years ago. The bracket broke and had to be welded on the trip. That is the bracket that attaches to the car not the bracket to add the second wheel. We carried the 2nd spare for the rest of the tour on the trouble truck. Not a good idea to use this accessory.

You can still buy those special bolts from Mac's or Snyder's, one of those. My 29 came with two spares mounted with those same bolts. I sold them on E-Bay for more than the catalog price.

In 1957 I was driving a 2000 mile trip, and using s set of those extension bolts I put a second spare on the rear of my 1929 Phaeton. Fifty seven years later, I still have two spares on the rear, no problems at all, no broken bracket from the car to the spares, many long trips too. I am satisfied.

A long-time member of our MARC region had two spares on the rear of his beautiful roadster, using those extension bolts. The reason he carried two spares was that one of his spares was an original, from-the-factory tire with just enough air in it to hold its shape. The second spare was in case he really needed to use one. I'm not aware that the second tire ever caused any problem with the bracket. He is now deceased, and the car has sold at least twice.
