Garage sale find

Found this at a garage sale this morning. 20.00. The cowl is very solid. The door is far from it.

I am guessing that is a 28-29 Murray four door. I have not personally seen that upper firewall shape before. Hope others comment on exactly what it is.

Pretty sure you are right and the cowl band is next to impossible to find for these cowls. Do not lose that band and all it's associated hardware.

1929 Murray body Town Sedan; great find.
I am off to the McLeans Island Swapmeet at the end of the week. One of the biggest Downunder.Hope to see lots of Ford ''junk''.

Hey Bart,
Hm, compilation of parts ? Cowl band looks '30/'31..and worth what you gave..alone ! Nice score.

It is a Murray body emblem. I'm thinking it might be a good start to a woodie one day. I can build the body out of ash. We have tons of it.

Nice find I would have to say its a 30/31 cowl , notice the coal band, murry emblem, and no threads on the gas tank opening, its a low profile opening .

It is definitely not 30-31. The gas tank/upper firewall and middle firewall strip isn't even there - all that's there is the cowl and lower firewall. Here's a couple of pictures - the first one I believe is of Marco's 1929 Murray Town Sedan and another showing the gas tank/firewall setup on these bodies.
