Does The 31 Ford Have A Block Drain For The Rad Cooling System Water ?
Let Me Know Ok . Pictures Would Be Great
Thank You All
Harley03joe :)

the pet **** is lower than the water jackets in the block so by opening that the entire system will drain....
no there is no drain in the engine block itself

Well Tom I Used 1 Gal Prestone And 2 Gal Of Filtered Water :)
That's Ok Right ?
Temp Only Went Up To 147 All Around With My Infrared Laser Thermometer
Thanks

Yes, that's fine for Florida. We had our 2 months of summer and are now getting back to near freezing temps and 6 to 7 more months of winter.

Tomorrow I leave for southern Minnesota for 5 days of Whitewater Model A day trips and cabins at night. This is a bi-annual event and two years ago several people had frozen radiators one morning.

A Frozen Radiator Is Very Bad , How Was The BLOCK ?
Well Here In Sunny South Florida I Can't Drive My A Much , It's Way To Hot For Me Almost All Year It's 100 to 105 Here, Not Any Fun, But It's Now Cooling Off A Little , Like 80 To 85 Now , But Still Hot.

Well Tom Enjoy Your Trip Ok Have Fun, Enjoy Your "A"
Thanks For The Info

As far as I know the blocks survuved, and I don't know if any radiators developed leaks from the freeze. When I bought my 28 Phaeton it had a large crack across the head. The seller said it was in the garage in September when it froze and cracked. Luckily the correct numbers matching block was OK.

Well Only The Head Is Ok I Guess , To Just Replace It, But The Block OMG What A Big Job, Boy You Got Lucky.

Tom Do You Have A Spare Sparton Aogga Horn ? Or Maybe You Might Know Of A Member That Does Have A Working One ?
Thanks
Joe

No, I don't but see them at swap meets and on ebay. They usually sell for $125 to a couple hundred, unless you get real lucky. I'm sure Bert's has some. 800-321-1931

Harley Depending on what you have to spend there are some nice ones on ebay and Bob also has a nice one in the classifieds. Tried to send you a private message but you have it turned off. Your on 12v if i remember right. If so make sure you have the 12v to 6v reducer to make the horn sound right. Beware there are reproduction horns from the 70s and adjust from the front and have welded halves to hold the armature and brushes in place. One of my brushes are almost done for ,so im gonna have fun with that. Also some are already 12v. I learned the hard way ha. Just make sure its a sparton and your good.
