Se Model A regional meeting

Any one going to the Great Smokey Model A's club's regional meeting in Piegon Forge. My dad and I are leaving Monday along with a couple of people from the Thermal Belt Model A club. :D:D

I didn't actually "GO", but your post alerted me to the event. Being fairly close by (about 25 mi), I decided that yesterday afternoon was a beautiful day to take the Roadster out for a 'legal drive' (antique plates not allowed weekdays, except for events).
I took my camera with me and found 15-20 really nice A's in the parking lot. It was quite the sight - sorta like being at a car show (except it was all A's).
Does anyone who was there happen to know the lucky owner of the blue Roadster with side curtains and black luggage trunk? It had Tn antique plate, so I'm guessing Knoxville A's.
I'm interested in the color scheme and side curtains.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe:
Why don't you consider joining the Smoky Mountain Model A Club, the hosts of the Mountains, Music and Model A's. Our next meeting is Oct 18 at Shoney's on N. Broadway in Knoxville at 6 PM. PM me if you need more information.

Yes, it was a great meet. I am guessing all totalled there was about 75, -maybe 100 Model-As in attendance. I saw tour badges over number 250 but I don't know what number they started with.

There was a small swap meet that had a little bit of NOS stuff, some speed stuff, and quite a bit of variety to pick from. No new-parts vendors. There was a Trouble-Tent area w/o the 'tent' where repairs were being made.. There was several seminars for participants including Steering Wheel Repair, Carburetors, How to build a Rear Main Diaper, Electrical Systems, Sheetmetal Repair, Ladies Era Fashion, and one they called 'Ask the Expert'. There were several self-guided short tours during the week including one to Cade's Cove. The closing banquet had a very nice meal of roast beef & chicken, and the entertainment was a 13-piece Big Band playing era music. Lots of door prizes and some very nice handmade tour awards. It was a great event.

Joe, in Tennessee that would have been a legal drive as you were on your way to an event.
