Getting the rear hub off the brake drum?

On my 31 coupe I used a 5/8 O.D. MK Morse MK 10 hole saw and carefully drilled and removed the studs (didn't go to deep). My front hubs just dropped out , but the rear hubs are really tight in the drums. Do they need a press to push them out? Any special precautions? I am reusing the hubs on new cast iron drums.
Thanks

Gary,

All the studs are completely out. But, the center hub/flange is stuck in the rear brake drum.

Use the flat side of a ball peen hammer and stike the drum between each of the 5 stud holes. Also spray the center ring with Kroil.

Since you are going to replace the drums, just take the whole assembly and drop it back side down on a hard surface (concrete works great) and the impact or jolt will cause them to separate. It might take a couple of drops to work.

Roughrider,
Since it's stuck SO tight, just leave it ALONE & go ahead & swage in your new studs. EASY way is the best way, providing it does the job PROPERLY!

(OH ! pardon my stupidity, you're REPLACING the drums, I better lurn to read! Just heat the drum quickly with a BIG rosebud torch, "KERPLUNK"!)

Guys, I got them apart today. Sprayed them with Kroil and let sit for 2 days, then heated up the drum around the hub (but not heating the hub), block of wood on the nose of the hub, and 3 careful taps with a hammer. Bingo. Thanks for all the replies.
