I appoligise for my poorly setup display at Hershey. But i got a flu-shot that Monday and wouldn't you know i got the flu on Tues.I was feeling misrible all week and was not into it all week.Sorry again but thank all that purchased stuff.It was good on the 2 good days of selling we had. ken ct.:o
 
I know several people that got the flu shot and got the flu. The VA will give it free and I tell them NO DICE, I stay away from it and I am still alive. I think?:D

I wondered if you were well but thought that it was not polite to ask. You did look a little pale. Hope you feel better. I had the same thing happen years ago and no flu shot for me.

Walk in says i got bronkidus and urine is too dark. Getting new blood tests tomorrow for liver problems?? ken ct.:)
 
Good luck, dark urine could be from some medicine you might be taking to fight your symptoms, get well soon.

A couple of smokes will not hurt you. It is a mind over matter. The stop smoking people that sell stuff to help you stop smoking are behind most of the BS about smoking. They can not sell their product if they can do not tell you how bad smoking is. They are behind the anti smoking legislation. It is like the enviromentalists. They can not support their big business unless they can create some BS about some problem that does not exist. THEIR TAX DEDUCTIABLE DONATIONS FROM BIG MONEY PEOPLE LIKE HOLLYWOOD ACTORS WILL CEASE. This is part of the American way but you have to sort it out. The anti smoking BS makes people think they are sick because the mind believes the BS. The legislators also get kick backs from the anti smoking people and the enviromentalists. WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS SOMETHING IS BAD YOU HAVE TO WONDER IF THEY HAVE BEEN WATCHING TOO MUCH TV. BECAUSE OF MIND OVER MATTER THESE PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY MAKING PEOPLE SICK. MODERATION IS THE KEY TOO EVERYTHING.

THE COLON CANCER ADS ARE PAID FOR BY THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THE MACHINES AND IT IS A MONEY MAKER FOR THE DOCTORS. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL TO SORT MOST OF THIS STUFF OUT.

NEXT TIME SOMEONE SAYS SMOKES ARE TERRIBLE JUST THINKS WHO IS THIS IDIOT. HAS HE FOLLOWED THE MONEY TRAIL OR JUST LISTENED TO A BUNCH OF BS.

THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO RAISE TAX MONEY THAN TO HAVE SOMETHING LABELED AS BAD AND THAN TAX IT. PEOPLE LIKE TAXES ON CIGS AND BOOZE BECAUSE IT IS BAD STUFF.

Not to be a jerk, but the "flu shot" won't (can't) give you the flu as it doesn't contain any live virus. The nasal spray version could, theoretically give you the flu, as it only contains a weakened version of the virus, but even that's unlikely. Just one of those things that irks me when people say they got a flu shot, then "got the flu".

Huh? Ever seen the lungs of someone who's smoked? Known someone that's has throat or lung cancer? The "anti-smoking" thing is most definitely not a conspiracy to gain tax dollars or sell product. It is bad for you!

Same thing goes for colon cancer. It's a real thing, not some made up BS.

I suppose you think breast cancer and heart disease are some made up baloney, too, huh?

You missed part of the point. If you tell somebody every day they are stupid they will start to believe your statement. The anti smoking ads probably do more harm than good. This is mind over body. Iam sure there are probably very little health benefits from smoking. Lung cancer can be caused by many things. People that have never smoked or been around smokers can develop lung cancer. People that smoke probably know they are taking a risk. It is like telling fat people they should take off some pounds. Your commenting about their weight does no good and probably cause more depression so they eat more.
 
I quit smoking over ten years ago. The smartest thing I ever did. I feel great. When we go camping, I can walk five or six miles easy before lunch time. I climb mountains, hike Grand Canyon, Canyonlands, etc., and me and my wife walked clear across Death Valley, twice.

Quit smoking, you'll sleep better, taste food better and you will be better. With good diet and frequent exercise and weigh lifting, I am in better shape than all the younger men I work with (I am 47). All of them.

And it is true, you can't get flu from a flu shot. It is likely that the guy was sick already and just happened to get a flu shot.

Hope you are okay KenCT and will be back in action soon. And sorry about contributing to the hijacking of your thread.

I personaly think the smoking causing cancer is bull. When i was 40 i was smoking 3 to 4 packs of cigarettes a day. The do gooder President of the United States wanted more tax money so he added taxes to cigarettes and said it was so people would quit smoking. I told my wife that he just wanted more tax dollars and i would fool them, i would Quit. I did and was healthy at that time. Every time i went to the VA doctor, they would ask if i ever smoked and 15 years later i almost died with throat cancer. I think it was pills that caused this cancer not the cigarettes. The same thing happened to other Men that i know. My sister in law is 78 and never quit and is healthy as a horse. Still smoking 2 packs a day. There is no way i will get a flu shot. I have not gotten one for several years and have not gotten the flu. Marv

4 towels
flip flops
cooler

sun hat
paper towels
toilet paper
beer
warm gloves
gloves to handle greasy parts
list of members locations and cell phones

one can lousy soda for guests
radio/TV

Multiple jackets.
