I see much varying in prices on net of this author's book.

I think the one I want is about 400 pages?

But I see volume 1 and 2 and 3 .

What is the correct one?

Red one has all the basics on how to take apart and put together, vol 2 is troubleshooting and still has some of the take apart and put together and volume three is ascessories and mods.
 
Volume I has all the information needed to do most of the mechanical work on an A. I feel it is essential to any Model A library for the do it yourself mechanic. I have my worn-out copy in the shop and my new-clean copy in the house. Price new 35-40 bucks.
 
The MARC office sells them for $35, $30, and $26 for a total of $91.00
Both MARC and MAFCA national clubs sell them and that way we support our clubs.
I like to support our natinal clubs as this helps the hobby,

Could you elaborate on what/where is MARC and MAFCA.
 
MARC is the Model A Restorers Club and the phone number in Garden City Michigan is 734-427-9050 They have all three books in stock.
The MAFCA Club s Model A Ford Club of America in La Habra California and their phone number is 562-697-2712.
Both are wonderful clubs that sell books on the Model A and this is one way we can help support them.
Thanks for considering them as you can see their prices are correct and not over priced,

I bet this is what happens: A used book dealer lists it by accident for a high price. The other dealers see somebody listing it for that price, and assume that it's the going rate.

Maybe a polite email pointing out that the book is in print and easily obtainable online for $35 or so, and offering maybe $20 for a used one, would get results...

I wrote several of the vendors that have the book used. One wrote me back and said "...if a person is too lazy to look up on where to get the book that's their problem."
