Throttle Body Injection

Anybody ever use a throttle body injection on a flathead, like maybe a Holley Projection? Pros? Cons?

JWL ran a test of a TBI system in his book "Flathead Facts" And it didn't show much improvement in HP. However others have said that they do improve economy. Gearhead has a system that uses the 88-92 GM system which akso includes the ignition curve. Be interested in anyone that has used this system.

Throttle body fuel injection without an ECM monitoring the engine and O2 sensors, etc, opens a whole new set of problems. Cadillac tried it years ago, and it was a mess to repair and adjust. It often blew the fuse under the dash and stalled the car. The newer cars almost always use port injection, but the controls are extensive.

The best one was the 88-92 GM system. It was a complete engine management system. And should work well on the flathead, because it is completly tunable. You could hide two injectors in one of those junk 97's and nobody would know the difference. No points , no condenser. Perfect timing all the time, perfect AF, all the time. We'd have nothing to talk about.

Thanks everybody for your comments. Probably not something I want to tackle after thinking it over.
