Just to confirm before buying some very long ago takeoff mint fenders

Coupe and sedan rear fenders are the same? …. only delivery fenders differ yes

40 coupe & sedan left rear fenders are the same. Right rear Standard did not have tail lamp opening (except Wa. state), DeLuxe had tail lamp opening. Per the Green Bible. See how advanced we are in Washington even going back to 1940.

But wagon and delivery’s are easily IDed by having no tail lights right?

The thing is
I will be getting these from a middle man …. He will not tell where they are and will be describing them to me before he gets them.
Add to that he is primarily a motorcycle guy and doesn’t know exactly what he’s lookin at

I'd want to see some pictures at least. I've seen plenty of things advertised where the description didn't match the picture. Close doesn't count.

Yeah, both the wagon and SD have no tail light hole. The SD is easily identified from the wagon in that the SD mounting flange is angled where it contacts the body like the regular passenger cars where the wagon flange is not angled, the studs it mounts on come down out of the wood so the mounting flange is flat with the top surface of the fender. Also, the driver's side fender for the SD has no gas filler hole, it protrudes through the rear quarter panel and the wagon has a gas filler hole on the left side fender.
My wagon is done and the SD I had I sold many years ago so I don't have pictures to show you.

I need these to go on a coupe … I will pick them up in person … I just want to make sure of the coupe sedan being the same.
I don’t want him to bother getting fenders I cant use and waist his cash
So now I can tell him to look for the best two w tail light holes

Thanks

Yeah, definitely get pictures. Especially inside where the running board bolts to the fender as well as general pictures.
