Radiator hoses, for F-1's?

Got a 50 F-1 with an 8BA. What is the normal solution for hoses? One of my biggest peeves is accordion style universal radiator hoses. Just want decent quality, Gates hopefully? I like the Ford Script ones on the bay, but are they long enough for trucks? Our radiators are pretty tall compared to cars.

The F1 top 'hoses' are two metal pipes bent at both ends which you then clamp to the radiator and head outlets with rubber hose. I got my pipes from Macs.

I've seen kits like that at a few places, but they all say it won't fit trucks?

I found a set of pipes on ebay, and the auto parts store I work for had the Gates green stripe straight hose. I am thinking of copper plating the pipes, or maybe brass? Nickel even would look great IMHO.. I know a guy who does plating, and his quotes were very reasonable. I just don't like the looks of black painted pipes, that's all.

I also have a set of aluminum water necks and thermostats on the way. I removed the stockers, and they were heavily scaled on the inside. The hose connection on one of them was rusted thin enough to worry, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone.
