From what I saw looking at the one in question I didn't see any way either. But the owner said that it is possible. I have to agree with you.

I looked at the picture of one and it looks like it has a bolt on cover
you could remove but I think it's on the top of the trans.

Thanks, I'll have to research more. I like the idea though, maybe if the floor was removed above the splitter.
