A friend just called me and he needs 1-2 model A's to help with driving a wedding party from a wedding in Brighton, MI to the reception in Howell, MI take pictures with the wedding party etc. The wedding is next Saturday, May 24, 2 pm in Brighton.
He had a 55 Thunderbird lined up to help and the transmission went out on it and they don't think they can get parts and have it repaired by then.
If anyone is interested let me know and I'll give you contact info.
Thanks.
A four door might be better although our club did this a couple years ago and I removed the passenger front seat on my Tudor and it made it real easy for couple to get in and out of.

a big problem with that is insurance liability.... And god forbid someone gets hurt your *** is grass
good luck with your search

If you volunteer be sure to check your insurance coverage. Especially dangerous is accepting anything in return for the ride as you now become a commercial enterprise. If you are a commercial enterprise it not only complicates the insurance but you might need a livery license from the city.

Anyone have a news article or personal experience (not a "heard from a friend that a friend heard ") with a lawsuit.

Remember this is America and you can be sued for anything by anyone!

What you say about being sued for anything by anyone is unfortunately true. That is the reason I have insurance. I probably should have been more clear and said if you don't accept anything for your efforts then your insurance may cover you and you won't run afoul of the city's livery requirements, but check. Over the years I have used my cars for events like a wedding but was careful that I was not paid as it would have voided my insurance. I think of it as good advertising for the hobby.

Agree that it creates exposure for the hobby, that you are not paid or taking payment only addresses the commercial use component of your insurance. Anytime you use anything that you own and particularly operate increases the opportunity for your liability exposure. Oftentimes you don't even need to be at fault, merely having insurance gets you into the lawsuit, the decision by the insurance company to pay out to minimize legal fees means a loss anyway. The legal system in this country isn't about being fair - it's about transferring wealth.
