I want to bulid a fenderless "A" Speedster. Does anyone know where I can get a set of plans? Yes I know that Rootlieb makes a kit, I just want a simple basic speedster. Thanks.

Some states require fenders; you might want to check this out before going too far ?

I've seen speedsters that have used motorcycle fenders; looks rather nice.

Where you located? I have the wooden templates from which I made several of mine but they are too large to ship. If you are close, you can come by and trace off the outlines on your sheetmetal and wood....

Those NWVS folks know how to have fun. I ran across them when on their "Chase the Chicken" tour. Hearty folk, runnin' speedsters in the rain and still smilin' and wavin'.

I get the stripped down nature, performace based style thing. And do-it-yourself attitude, but I saw this the other day and thought "I hope somebody capable gets this and finishes it". http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0470212723&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Yes, it should be inspected personally as pictures can be deceiving, but what is shown looks like decent metal work, and there's a good sense of style here. And it does say "OFFER" which always means "I'll take less".

You'de have that much in a project of that quality before you knew it. THAT IS A GOOD DEAL!

It would probably be a good idea, if you are planning to go to and compete in such things as hill climbs and other speedster events, to check with the local sponsoring club regarding their rules and requirements as to equipment. It is very frustrating to compete believing, because the tech crew has okayed your car, that you are legal only to have an official call 2 days later to inform you that you didn't win because of some obscure rule regarding the width of your seating. This happened to me after the 66 hillclimb last Sunday!

Hey Mike, is that a picture of your 'sweetie' on the webpage that you have linked at the bottom of your post? :D When youget a chance, you might wanna check out that link and do some corrections. ;)
