Dash Mount

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experianced issues with the alignment of the holes between the dash panel and the lower pair of Dnuts attached to the fuel tank? The upper holes line up nice, but the lower are out by at least 1/4" or so I would guess. Nothing appears to be damaged or shows signs of being damaged and being repaired by others. I guess I am wondering if there was a change in this area during production and I have a mismatch?? I have 28 Roadster that is nearing completion. Thanks Guys.

Yeah I should have mentioned that I am pretty certain that the panel that I have is original - it certainly feels nice and heavy and doesnt look like a cheap taky repo.

I think the repro panels are just as heavy, but they are chrome instead of nickel, and the bottom screw holes don't line up.

Yep I have now changed my mind, I am pretty sure she is a repo panel :( I had a dash panel that I had replated 20 years ago, I got it out and carefully compared the holes and tried it in place, and guess what - she fits !!

Just spent the last hour changing all the bits and pieces over, and she is screwed in place and looking fine.

Time to move onto to other areas of putting this beast back together again.

Thanks for your help guys.

I Hope that this works. These pictures are the most recent that I have. I had just collected the first of my body panels from the paint shop. I now have the valance panels, cowl & fuel tank on the chassis. Waiting on some more parts from the painter, so thought I would have a fiddle with the dash.
