Window glass fogged around edges?

Washed my '35 in the garage which I have done in cold weather before. This time after a few days I went to work on the car and noticed the door windows fogged in between the two layers of glass about a 1/2" to '3/4" top and front edge? Thought it would dissipate but hasn't. I think it's there to stay. Has anyone else had this happen?

Glass is probably delaminating due to old age. I haven't had it happen, but I would try eliminating the moisture by warming the glass with a hair dryer. Then paint the edges of the glass with some black acrylic paint. You can buy a very small paint roller at Home Depot, etc. Or use a small artists brush. I have noticed that replacement glass does come with a painted edge.

I have in the past used 2 irons for clothes ,2 towels on each side of glass , hold irons on each side , centre will melt back clear again , move irons along glass , irons do not have to be very hot , dent

Probably will go with the hairdryer idea first if that doesn't do it I get a little more agressive and try the electric irons.
Thx

Sealing the edges is a good idea, but I would use something clear. You would'nt want anything black seeping between the panes. But that is just how my luck would go.

Or, you could just leave it and let it naturally evolve into a very interesting art form as mine has.

Now just remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! ;)

I agree with Old Henry and think delamination air bubbles add character to a car. Like my Doctor told me, just tell your grand children those are "Grandpa face wrinkles" and forget about them.

I have four glass panels with bubbles, and Hey ! Who the #*q# put that too-thick plexiglass in my vent window ?

I don't enter my '47 in show contests but a regional/national judge told me they are suppose to record deductions for air bubbles.

I like the hair dryer and iron remedies. Lets hear if it works ! Dan

have also used heat gun , and found that tin foil on opposite side of glass helps to clear glass as heat is directed back into glass , dent

I think of the "natural flaws" in my old glass kind of like those flaws in old glass in old buildings that now make those old buildings more realistic if the glass is left than if replaced.

I have never lost any points in concourse judging at the Early Ford V8 meets for the bubbles.
