1940 Ford "Standard" 2 dr. Woodgraining

Does anybody have a photo of a 40 std garnish moulding in a walnut bleached grain pattern?? Also does the windshield moulding get wood grained or is it painted "briarwood brown w/dash?? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I just did a 40 Deluxe for a customer and the windshield molding is grained. I'm pretty sure the same goes for the standard. I do have the correct grain plate for the standard. I believe I have a pic in my woodgrain album.

I believe the colors are slightly different for the Standard.

Good morning Mickey,
All of the window moldings were grained.
I have attached pictures of both the DeLuxe moldings and the V8 Ford moldings. You'll easily note that the DeLuxe moldings are considerably darker than the Ford V8 moldings.
The DeLuxe received what was termed a "mahogany" finish while the Ford V8 models received what was termed a "walnut" finish.
Both of these particular vehicle's moldings were replicated directly from NOS samples to assure the most authentic recreation.

Terry, I'll try to dig that photo out.
The "standard" molding in my previous post was replicated off a NOS molding. I did take the liberty to clear it in high gloss - believing the authentic (nos piece) to be faded.

the same goes for the deluxe painted 2 tone
