Does any one have a picture of the late 31 seat wood thats under the seat cushion spring? Also the thickness of the wood Thanks for any help
 
I don't have the thickness.

Thanks Marco I was using the information from lebarron bonney they list wood for bottom of spring but all the trucks I have looked had none thanks again
 
The indented firewall cabs have a different seat riser than the non-indented firewall cabs. However neither one I have ever seen, including an original un-restored example, uses any wood on the bottom or backrest cushion.
 
I know that the seat in my 31 Budd Cab Pickup is not correct, but whatever it is, it was that way when I bought it. Don't know if it even has the correct riser. What I do know is that there's wood both on the bottom & back springs. All of this makes what is normally cramped in the cab, REALLY cramped. The seat height is a full 3-4 inches higher than it should be. I would like to re-do things back to a reasonable facisimile of original.

Are there any drawings / sketches or whatever showing what should be there and how it should go? I'm thinking of sending the whole thing to an uhpolstery shop, but don't really know how to tell them to fix it. Or if I could just do everything myself.

The seats "look wonderful", they just aren't that comfortable, and it really is cramped.
