Fuel Hose

I decided to replace the rubber fuel line (fuel pump to hard line on firewall) on my 40 deluxe since I had a new one that came with the car when I bought it. The line from the tank to firewall had been replaced by the prev. owner & ends with a tube nut & ferrule . This fit the old fuel pump hose correctly. The new hose is for a flared tube end & won't work. I only see one hose listed in the aftermarket catalogs, anyone know what the firewall end fitting is like on these?

The end of your tank line is cobbled up ,the fitting that belongs there is the same as the short flex line that goes into the carb + fuel pump. Same thread and its a compression type fitting with a ferrel. I have them if you need . The ferrels are common but not the nut. ken ct.Call if you want more info. 1-203-260-5945 cell.

Originally the hard line at the firewall has the nut and ferrule. Appears the flex line you want to use is improper. Robert Shewman has a very good replacement gadgiteer@aol.com

Oh I misread your post. The flex hose you have is for a later model with an inverted flare on 1 end and the 1/2x20 on the other or a1/8 pipe thread on the other.Sorry bout that.ken ct. Sounds like you have the wrong flex hose.
