I'm seriously thinking of selling the 29 CCPU. I really don't have the money to keep pouring more and more into it, being on a fixed income.
I do have a clear title, so that helps, but I'm still up in the air...
I just don't know...
I can't guarantee the market, but Model A's have been pretty stable over the years.
I don't think it would be too hard to get back in the game if you had regrets.

I have cars that I will never be able to afford to restore but who cares! I live in Florida and my cars are in NC in storage. Taking my wife to visit her mother where the cars are stored next week and I get to visit my cars. I feel like a curator to the cars, I don't have to drive them or even restore them, just protect them........
I see on your profile that you have the pickup and also a huckster. Both very nice. You can sell one to pay for upkeep on the other. My choice would be to keep the huckster, that is a sweet car.
Or, since your profile also says that you are a weightlifter you can just keep the pickup around and when you need to work off some steam crawl under it and do some bench presses. If it is too heavy, kick out the family to lighten the load
Well, if someone had a huckster, or a tudor that was willing to discuss a trade, I'd think about it...
There just isn't enough room in the CCPU for me to fit comfortably...
plus the money thing...
How long have you been 'mauling' around the idea of selling your truck?
If this is just an impulse type decision, IMO, take some time to cool off...kinda like what you do after doing sets of 400 lb squats or bench ! You think pretty clearly then with renewed strength/energy. If you are still in frame of mind to divest...well..do research with eyes open !
You have a fairly accurate realistic grasp on the idea of $ down the hole, IMO , as it applies to this 'hobby'. Good luck .
If you aren't comfortable behind the wheel of your CCPU, you won't want to drive it and you have less justification for keeping it running. My advice FWIW: post ads everywhere you can about the trade you want to make. If nothing comes of the ads, sell your pickup and buy a Tudor, Fordor, or Huckster.
Not really a money pit, but there was more to fix then I thought. I shoulda kept the 31 Huckster...
"Too Soon Old, and Too Late Smart!" Old Pennsylvania Dutch saying...
I have been offered the chance to trade an original, unrestored 29 Murray Fordor with juice brakes, faded paint but NO RUST for the CCPU.
Would that have more legroom then the Pickup?
Waiting for a LOT more pictures and info on the Fordor before I make a decision.
Yepo lots more room then the CCPU. I have 2 fordors. They are far more comfortable then either the coupe or tudor I have. Just make sure the wood in the ofrdor is in decent shape - wood replacement can be a nightmare.
