Ryan, you've cleared up many questions I'm sure we all had. He was a knowledgeable guy and helped me with a water loss problem, but rules are rules. Thanks for saving the "Barn"

Racism ...I can see ,that's where i would draw a line also... Politic's, Well most people know me about politic's from the old Fordbarn.:rolleyes:..I BIT MY LIP everyday about what's going on in the U.S.A.:mad:!. So lately i respect your forum...So i'll keep bitting my lip...:(
 
Ryan, good call. I quit visiting the old site because of some racist comments that were made by someone I had heretofore held in some regard, and when I challenged him, I was attacked by his followers. It was disheartening; I thought if that's the kind of guys who hung out there, I was the in the wrong place.

The name of the site is "FordBarn." Not PoliticsBarn, ReligionBarn, RaceBarn or FlameBarn.

Keep up the good work. Now I think I am in the right place.

Good or bad I miss Skip. I liked his articles. Always reminded me of Mike Flanigan ,who good or bad had a strange way of putting a point across. He riled a lot of feathers. Tony
 
I think you have to be a baaad boy to get banned or get personal with the mods or administrators, I've seen some stuff on the HAMB that was sorta out there that didn't bring a banning. This place has really cleaned up a lot since the new format took over. Much better.
If you really want to know call Skip and ask him.

Great to see that you are not afraid to step in and put an end to this type of behavior. I ,for one, really enjoy the new FordBarn. I certainly don't miss some of the problems we had with the old FordBarn.

The problems not only existed on the old Ford Barn, but it was those same problem posters and subjects that brought down Ahooga. This board should remain for Model A related subjects. Please take all else some other place.

You would make quite a lawyer! While making a plea for leniency, there's nothing like bringing up yet another indiscretion the judge failed to consider.
 
Is there a chance he will get to come back?
Inquisitive minds would like to know!!!
Would be great if he was allowed back,even with a probation period

Right on!!! I wouldn't want Tom as a lawyer. He does make a good point about copy right material.

No matter who gets banned, there will always be people who want them back. The idea is the warnings are there because it is a forever decision. Defiance is hard to ignore. Try being a moderator sometime. It can be a difficult and unpopular job.

I probably should know better than to do this, but it hasn't stopped me on a few other threads lately either....so here it goes.

I realize that I am a relatively new guy on this site. Skip may be a real Model A Expert. I don't know. Personally, I think since Ryan is in charge, Ryan should do what he thinks is best. Since Ryan chose to ban him, I will take that as the right thing to do.

In my experience on other similar discussion forums, when people get banned they have a habit of coming back with a different email address and a different name. Usually they go back to their old ways and get banned again. At the risk of irritating all of Skip's friends...

I am sort of tired of hearing about it.

I wish Ryan would simply delete this thread. If Skip's friends want him back, maybe they should email him and ask him to email Ryan and apologize and plead his case for a reinstatement privately. I try to read everything on this site hoping to be able to help someone or learn more, and I am just getting tired of hearing about Skip.
 
But you do have a choice as is any other thread. Just skip it and dont read it. Just like a lot of people i believe are getting tired of all the Mafca, Marc polls. That horse appears to have been beaten to death. Just my opinion. No harm no fowl.

I fully agree with msmaron and MCHinson....

Time to 'skip' this subject and move on. We all know the rules and this is a stern reminder that they WILL be enforced, so if you goof up and go down that same path Skip chose to skip down you will be skipped on Fordbarn and will vanish as if you never existed.

Thanks Ryan. You did the correct thing here. Anyone want to challenge the Moderator, well it was good knowing you. Shelley was too lenient on this, trying to be nice to everybody, and it finally drove HER away. No need for doing that to nice people like Shelley.

Let's dump this subject I apologize for posting and 'reviving' it one last time-----
